SOCIAL SKILLS TRAINING

Social skills is a necessary part of a healthy life. Our kids need to know how to function amongst their peers and make friends! For this reason, ASPECTS offers several social skills group workshops and other ways our clients can connect with peers and build relationships. Our workshops are leveled and child-centered, each crafted to meet kids where they are in terms of their social skills. Kids can meet up for a social outing with their peers, come into the office for some life-sized Lego action, or sign up for our social skills group workshops.

Kids will have the opportunity to learn many different facets of social skills, from turn-taking to team-building, and from hygiene to communication. These skills will help kids build confidence and independence as they continue to improve their overall functioning in the world around them.

Our Services: About Us
A Supportive Therapist

INDIVIDUALIZED THERAPY

Children are unique in so many ways, one of those ways being... how they learn. At ASPECTS, we believe in creating individualized treatment plans to ensure children are taught the way in which they learn best. With the support of their caregivers, the ASPECTS team will conduct an assessment of each child's strengths and core deficits. They will then use this information to create a unique plan to build up each child's deficit areas. On-going data analysis will help the team stay on top of introducing new targets when skills are mastered. This way, expectations for each child are set where they can achieve success and continue to grow.

Our Services: Recent News

One-on-one (1:1), or individualized, therapy is a type of behavioral therapy in which a Registered Behavior Technician works solely with your child on treatment goals. This level of undivided intervention from a trained professional has been proven through scientific research to contribute to incredible gains across a variety of domains-- behavior, communication, social skills, life skills, and school readiness skills.

Our therapists are trained and certified professionals. They receive consistent and on-going training to ensure your child receives the highest degree of attention and care as they progress through skill levels.

Children who receive 1:1 therapy have the opportunity to generalize the skills they learn during ASPECTS's social skills group events, or during scheduled community-based intervention. It is important for families to understand that the growth each child makes in a 1:1 setting must be generalized to their natural surroundings, like school and other places within their community. When this is achieved, it is a triumphant feeling for families and professionals alike.
